02 / The origin

The relations that mattered.

The originating image: a woman in an ochre coat beside monumental concrete architecture.
The originating image.

The design began with an architectural image. What held was the relation between mass, solitude, horizon and the small human figure. As the composition was reduced, the orange disc entered as a new counterweight.

A meeting of monumental scale and human presence, carried into an everyday object.

Everyday objects for a wider world.
